An event related to September 27 – Remembrance Day was held in the Khazar district.
Organized by the District Executive Power, the event was attended by the head of the Executive Power of District, Elshan Salahov; heads of law enforcement agencies; deputy heads and staff of the Executive Power; families of martyrs, veterans, and war participants; religious figures; heads of departments and enterprises; settlement representatives; municipal chairpersons; heads of public associations; and members of the public.
During the event, the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played, accompanied by the Exemplary Military Orchestra of the Ministry of Defense. Subsequently, a minute of silence was observed in cherished memory of the martyrs. Elshan Salahov, head of the Executive Power of Khazar District, stated that the historic Victory achieved in the Patriotic War waged by Azerbaijan to restore its territorial integrity and liberate its historical lands from occupation in response to the long-standing aggressive policies and subsequent military provocations of Armenia was the logical outcome of the national unity and solidarity of our people, the unparalleled heroism of the soldiers and officers of the valiant Azerbaijani Army, and the commandership skills, resolute political will, and successful diplomacy of the Victorious Commander-in-Chief.
The Head noted that the families of martyrs and veterans are constantly surrounded by the attention and care of the  Executive Power of Khazar District; their appeals and the issues they face are addressed with sensitivity, and necessary measures are continuously implemented to improve their social well-being and resolve their daily concerns. Make a speech at the event, Abbas Rzayev, Chairman of the Khazar District Court, highlighted the honorable combat paths of the sons of the Motherland who demonstrated heroism and valor in the Patriotic War and attained the pinnacle of martyrdom. He talked about of the importance of cherishing their memory and the high level of attention and care provided by the state to the families of martyrs and veterans. Maleyka Majidova, mother of Patriotic War Hero Elchin Mansurov, and Habil Jabbarov, father of martyr Shahgunduz Jabbarov, also addressed the gathering; they expressed their deep gratitude to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Victorious Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, and to First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva, for the great attention and care shown by the state to the families of the heroes who sacrificed their lives in the Patriotic War, as well as to war participants and veterans.
At the conclusion of the event, a memorial meal was hosted by the Executive Power of Khazar District in honor of the martyrs.
